How to use your remote as a mouse/keyboard

Occasionally you might like to do something that requires a mouse or keyboard. If you only have a remote this can be come a issue. However, there is a great little program that enables you do just that - use your remote control to act as a mouse or keyboard.

This program is already installed on your machine!

To activate it you must press the * button on your remote. This cycles through three modes:

1. Keyboard Mode
2. Mouse Mode
3. Standby Mode

By default the remote is in standby mode. This means you use the remote as normal

In Keyboard Mode the remote acts like your mobile phone - you can use triple tap to spell out words using the numeric keypad

In Mouse Mode you can use the directional buttons to move the cursor around the screen. OK is used to left click (select), # is used to right click, 0 (number zero) is used to click and hold - press 0 again to release.
