CD ripping issues

When a CD is played, it asks to save it in MP3 format, sometimes it splits the CD into more than one album and wont put it into one.

Hi BigTex,

When Media centre rips a cd it goes online and looks for information on the cd. This info is stored in MP3 tags which are attached the MP3 file. If these tags are not the same then the system will see them as different albums and will display them as such. Some times this happen because the database that the media centre connects too, although good, it does not always have localised versions of albums (it may have the US album version but not the Australian one). Also some compilation albums with throw media centre off track.

There are ways to get around this. Would you like me to show you?

Yes, next time you come around, I'm about to get at least another T byte to put in also.
